Anxiety

The Question that Shifts Us in an Instant

There was a moment in my life that changed me forever. I was going through a really difficult situation that I felt was out of my control. In the midst of feeling a mix of despair, anger and anxiety, I stopped and asked myself a question that shifted my perspective (and my reality) in an instant.

These are hard times we're going through. There is little we can control and it's easy to feel angry at what is being done or not done. It's reasonable to be extremely anxious about all of the ways in which things can get really bad. And it's easy to feel despair at our inability to change the trajectory of things.

I want to share this question with you, so you can explore the possibility that asking this question for yourself might help you as it always helps me.

Two Meditations for You

Anxiety? Incessant thoughts about what's going on? Hard to disconnect from the news? Physical pain?

Today I share two meditations that can help. I facilitated them last night for my "open house" group and folks really loved them.

  • Meditation #1 starts at minute 2:18 (it's about 9 minutes in length)

  • Meditation #2 starts at minute 11:50 (it's about 18 minutes in length)

Polarity: Finding Peace in the Midst of Hard Times

Today I want to talk about how the nature of our universe is one of polarity. My simple metaphor illustrating the nature of polarity in all life might help you navigate the current challenging times.

Coronavirus has upended all of our lives, but it doesn't have to translate into fear, or overwhelm about the future. There are many ways in which we can actually find beauty, peace and strength in the midst of this.

The True Cause of Chronic Health Issues

Our western approaches to health only touch the surface of health problems:

  1. Prescription-drugs only work to make symptoms disappear -not address the cause of the issue; and

  2. When we try to go deeper, we typically make changes in nutrition too... and while that may help, it often doesn't get at the CAUSE of it either.

Chronic health issues originate and are held in place by emotion.
